Beecher Taxi to O’Hare
Beecher sits at the far southern edge of Will County, close enough to the Indiana line that it’s the longest trip on our whole map — well over an hour each way. That’s exactly why we quote it as a single flat rate: the price is settled before your driver ever leaves the farmland behind.
About Beecher
Beecher was founded in 1870 by Chicago businessman T.L. Miller, who began buying up land here in 1862 to build Highland Stock Farm. Miller was an admirer of Henry Ward Beecher, the most famous orator of the day, and named the new village after him. What Miller was actually building, though, was a cattle operation — he developed what became the finest and largest herd of Hereford cattle in the country, founded the Breeder’s Journal in 1880, and compiled the earliest volumes of the Hereford Herd Book, all published right there in the village. The Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad reached Beecher in 1869–1870, and the restored 1881 depot it left behind still stands today as the local historical society’s home. You can find current local information through the official Village of Beecher site.
More than a century later, Beecher is still a working farm town at heart — small, incorporated in 1884, and surrounded by the open Will County farmland that made it a cattle-breeding hub in the first place.
Distance and drive time are approximate — actual travel can shift with traffic on I-394/US-30 and I-80, especially during rush hour or winter weather this far south.

Yes, We Cover Beecher
Being this far from O’Hare doesn’t mean being off the map — Beecher is a regular booking for us, not a special-request trip. The distance is exactly why we set the rate up front.

Car Seats, Booked Ahead
Add a car seat for $10 when you book — availability is limited, and worth checking against what Illinois’ Child Passenger Protection Act requires for a longer ride.
Terminal 5, Handled Directly
We’re authorized for direct Terminal 5 pickups — gates 5D or 5E, inner lane — with real-time flight tracking, so a long drive out doesn’t mean a long wait at the curb.
One Number, Not a Meter
$138 covers the whole trip regardless of how I-80 or I-294 is running that day — no surcharge for the extra miles once you’re booked.
Choose Your Ride
The flat rate doesn’t change with how many people are in the car — only with which vehicle you pick.
Beyond the Airport Run
Downtown Chicago, Point to Point
Given the distance, most Beecher riders combine trips — see our full Chicago transportation services for a downtown stop on the way.
Games & Concerts
One long trip beats two — we cover Chicago stadiums and events so you’re not driving back down to Beecher and up again.
Move-In & Family Weekends
Dropping a Beecher student at a Chicago-area campus, or flying family in for Family Weekend — our university airport transportation handles the extra bags.
Also Serving the Far South Suburbs

Beecher to O’Hare — Common Questions
Beecher is pretty far south — does a driver actually come out this way?
Yes, regularly. It’s our longest standard trip, but it’s a normal booking, not a special request — just book like you would from anywhere else.
Does the $138 rate change if there’s traffic or construction on I-80 or I-294?
No — $138 is agreed before you leave and stays fixed no matter how the drive back up actually goes.
Can you pick up near the old Beecher Depot or downtown, not just out on a farm road?
Of course — the flat rate covers any pickup within Beecher, whether that’s near the historic depot downtown or further out on a rural route.
Can I book a car seat for a flight out of Beecher?
Yes, for $10 extra, though availability is limited — reserve it when you book rather than asking the day of.
Do you also serve nearby Crete, Peotone, or Frankfort?
Yes — we run flat-rate service across the far south suburbs, including Crete, Peotone, Frankfort, Park Forest, and Richton Park, each priced separately.
Are you authorized to pick up directly at O’Hare’s Terminal 5?
Yes. O’Hare Airport Taxi LLC is authorized for direct Terminal 5 pickups, something Uber and Lyft cannot do. Our drivers wait at gates 5D or 5E, inner lane, and track your flight so they’re ready when you land.
