Batavia Taxi to O’Hare
Batavia sits far enough west of O’Hare that a taxi ride here is a real trip, not a hop — so we lock in one flat rate before you leave, whether you’re coming from downtown along the Fox River or one of the neighborhoods edging Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
About Batavia
Batavia sits on the Fox River in Kane County, incorporated on July 27, 1872, though settlement dates back to 1833. The name itself has a roundabout history: Judge Isaac Wilson renamed the town in 1840 after his former home of Batavia, New York — which in turn was named after the old Batavian Republic in the Netherlands. Through the late 1800s, Batavia earned the nickname “Windmill City,” home to six different companies that manufactured the water-pumping windmills used on farms across America. Local government information is available through the official City of Batavia site.
Today, Batavia is known for something bigger: Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, the particle physics research facility just east of the city limits where scientists first detected both the bottom and top quarks. Fermilab remains one of the area’s largest employers, which means we regularly carry visiting researchers and physicists to and from O’Hare alongside the usual mix of Batavia families and commuters.
Distance and drive time are approximate — actual travel can shift with traffic on the Elgin-O’Hare Expressway and I-90, especially during rush hour or Tollway construction.

Fermilab Visitor & Staff Runs
Visiting researcher, conference guest, or Fermilab employee flying in — we regularly handle direct O’Hare-to-Fermilab bookings, no separate arrangement needed.
Car Seats, Booked Ahead
Add a car seat for $10 when you book — availability is limited, and it’s worth checking what Illinois’ Child Passenger Protection Act requires.
Terminal 5, Handled Directly
We’re authorized for direct Terminal 5 pickups — gates 5D or 5E, inner lane — with live flight tracking, something rideshare apps still can’t offer.
Long-Ride Comfort, Same Flat Price
A trip this length can feel like it should cost more the longer traffic runs — it doesn’t. The $74 rate is locked in before you leave, no matter how the Tollway is moving.
Choose Your Ride
The flat rate doesn’t change with how many people are in the car — only with which vehicle you pick.
