Burr Ridge Taxi to O’Hare Airport
24/7 flat-rate airport transportation from Burr Ridge to O’Hare International — upfront pricing, no surge, no app-driver roulette.
In 1917, the International Harvester Company bought 414 acres of rolling land here — part of the Valparaiso Moraine, shaped by glaciers during the last ice age — to build an experimental farm. It’s where the original Farmall tractor was tested, alongside hundreds of other pieces of new farm equipment, at annual demonstration events that reportedly included orchestra accompaniment and circus tents. In the 1950s, Harvester expanded the site with a $5 million research and engineering center that, at the time, was billed as the world’s largest dedicated agricultural engineering facility, employing over 1,300 people.
After World War II, residents south of old Route 66 worried a planned Harvester housing development would hurt property values, so on October 30, 1956 they voted — 76 to 67 — to incorporate their own roughly one-square-mile village of about 300 residents. They named it, fittingly, Harvester. Today the site’s Route 66 history lives on in Harvester Park’s road-themed playground. Official village information is available on Burr Ridge’s official site.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it true Burr Ridge used to be called “Harvester”?
Yes — the village incorporated in 1956 as Harvester, named for the International Harvester experimental farm nearby where the original Farmall tractor was tested starting in 1917. It was renamed Burr Ridge in the early 1960s, after the ridge of bur oak trees in the area.
We’re on a long private driveway in one of the estate subdivisions — can you still find us easily?
Yes — just give us your driveway or gate details when you book, and your driver will confirm the approach with you before pickup.
Burr Ridge sits in both DuPage and Cook counties — does the rate change depending on which side I’m on?
No — $58 is the flat rate for any pickup within Burr Ridge village limits, DuPage or Cook County side.
Can I book a car seat for a flight out of Burr Ridge?
Yes, for $10 extra, though availability is limited — reserve it when you book rather than asking last minute.
Do you also serve nearby Hinsdale, Darien, Countryside, or Willowbrook?
Yes — we run flat-rate service across this part of the western suburbs, including Hinsdale, Darien, Countryside, and Willowbrook, each priced separately.
Are you authorized to pick up directly at O’Hare’s Terminal 5?
Yes. O’Hare Airport Taxi LLC is authorized for direct Terminal 5 pickups, something Uber and Lyft cannot do. Our drivers wait at gates 5D or 5E, inner lane, and track your flight so they’re ready when you land.
